Pigeon Wants to Find a Job

Scott Bahlmann

We did a community helpers theme in honor of Mr. Rogers birthday, and I wanted to use a flannel activity that represented a wide range of helpers. We were reading Mo Willems Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus and I thought it would be fun to let him drive some other vehicles after the book!

(We identified who would drive each vehicle, pigeon was hidden behind one as we put them up, then we sang this song.)

Tune: Do you know the muffin man

Pigeon wants to find a job, find a job, find a job.

Pigeon wants to find a job, what will he be today?

(Then the kids told us which vehicle to look behind, until we found the pigeon. Lots of fun!)
